How it all began…My name is Vidushi and I had been living here for many years, when I noticed that there was one thing missing in this piece of paradise: a nice place during monsoon.
I then noticed the cow corner old building, which was already aptly called cow corner, because of the sleeping cows in and around the building.
My Austrian, culinary and architectural backgrounds all shine through in Vidushi’s Cow Corner restaurant that opened its doors in December 2018
We completely renovated the building in its former glory and ensured it kept its authentic look and feel.
As I am not a Goan, I cannot and do not want to compete with the Goan cuisine. Vidushi’s Cow Corner differentiates itself by making and serving real continental food – I personally know the Austrian cuisine inside out – and together with my Indian chefs we whip up and create better quality Indian dishes.
We are your extended living room
It’s our mission to make (almost) everything fresh, and everything is homemade. We only use local and seasonal products, and strive for simplicity. We bake our own bread, we craft irresistibly delicious cakes, we make our own mayonnaise, and masalas.
We do our best to fulfil every little wish. We even serve as a local post office for some of our regulars, by being a pickup point for online deliveries (Amazon, Flipkart, etc).

The smallest entrance gives way to a beautiful surprisingly wide and spacious hidden gem. You can hang out, read a book in a quiet corner, meet with friends or make new ones, and you can work from our place. With good wifi, quiet spots and power sockets – and a strong cup of coffee, we keep you productive.
The restaurant’s pared-back, authentic Goan-style brasserie aesthetic – light pastel walls, bare tables, dangly lights and furniture made from local materials – goes well with the no-nonsense service, air-punchingly good food, complemented by a friendly atmosphere and polite yet amiable staff.
Garden
You could easily pass by Vidushi’s Cow Corner and have no idea of the delights that lay within. Whatever the weather Vidushi’s Cow Corner’s garden is a place to dine surrounded by foliage. Grab one of the terrace tables for a memorable meal. The side of the restaurant opens up entirely so even inside you experience the open air.

We ordered wedges and mushroom fry. They were very bland and the oil used seems to be not that good. Then the main course took a alot of time ( almost 1.25 hours ), that was too okish. ( ordered semmelknoodle and palak pannier with rice. The ambiance was good.
October 2024I really liked the atmosphere, the service and especially the food. We can say that this is the most delicious place for us.We had chicken and salad, a burger and spinach with rice. Serving, portion size all corresponded to the place and country.

Very nice restaurant! Nicely decorated inside with beautiful garden and great staff! Food is delicious and a mix of international and Indian cuisine. Specialty with Austrian food. Relaxed place also for working with computer (free wifi) or a coffee.
Have been to this restaurant in Patnem with my family and friends a bunch of times. It’s got a small menu, but everything is delicious. You gotta try the chicken steak with mushroom sauce and the semmelknodel with mushroom sauce. The crispy mushrooms are also great. The place is super clean and the staffs are friendly.
The food and service were great. Ordered: Spaghetti with prawns, Chinese chilli chicken.Both the items were made very well. The spaghetti especially was nice. They also have board games and cards / uno if you want to spend some time there.
Vidushi’s Cow Corner is a hidden gem! The cozy atmosphere and the variety of games like Uno, Chess, and playing cards along with lots of books make it such a fun place to hang out with friends or family. I ordered the chicken steak with mushroom sauce, which is one of their signature dishes, and it was absolutely delicious. The Crispy Chinese chicken was also amazing! The combination of great food and a relaxed, playful vibe makes this place a must-visit. Highly recommend for anyone looking for good food and a great time!

Great place for a fun time! Service is prompt, food is delicious and the surroundings are filled with plants!!I think they could really work on their desserts but the chocolate cake is a good saviour’
This is small but a nice place. The staff here is warm and welcoming. The ambience is good and food is really amazing. We tried chocolate chip cookies, cold coffee, virgin mojito, crispy mushroom, spaghetti, aloo paratha, paratha with aloo sabji and everything was really good. Also if you are lucky you might get to meet two cute little cats over here.
Very nice restaurant. Chicken schnitzel enough for 2 people and very tasty. I visited here many times and all dishes are excellent. Sweets also very good

Discovered Cow corner on my way from Patnem to Palolem and had a chance to try their cheesecake. I wish I spent more time here as I absolutely loved the vibe. The cheesecake was mouthwatering and tasted like heaven (picture attached).
Wonderful food and a great meeting place, proper chilled vibe. Seriously wonderful food. Proper homemade food, even mayo is homemade. Loved it.
This is a hidden gem. Even though it is primarily for overseas tourists the host guided us through the food choices and helped us pick something for our two kids who are picky eaters. The food was delicious and quickly devoured by our kids. A must visit.

Nice and cozy atmosphere and ambience, with really good food!We had the chicken schnitzel burger which was super fresh and crispy. Along with the chicken and mushroom pepper sauce, which was cooked perfectly and the sauce was creamy and delicious.The chorizo pasta is the best I’ve had yet! Super satisfying and perfect flavour balance. Can’t wait to visit this place again to have it!Though I personally did not enjoy the coconut gelato, which had a strong flavour of cardamom.Definitely worth a visit! Though I recommend please amp up the lightning it is impossible to see the menu for your food with such dim lights!
Corner heaven . Such a gorgeous place , great food and chilled ambience . Only one niggle …. PLEASE buy a coffee machine . Hand poured cappuccino is merely and over boiled milk coffee ☕

Very very good food! My brother took me here saying it was some of his favourite food on Goa and I was sceptical, but man, the food was incredible.Great depth of flavour, high quality, meat and veg options, and tasty as hell.The ambience was beautiful too especially at night with all the lights lit up.Highly recommended
Ridiculously incompetent staff. We waited for over an hour with our drinks only to find out they didn’t take our food order.
You can stop by for breakfast or spend the whole day. Everyone that works here is wonderful. The space is open and relaxing (shaded garden with comfy chairs + couches, fans and strong wifi). We enjoyed the chai, home-brewed kombucha, cheese omelette and egg croissant sandwich. And, if you only eat one thing (in all of Patnem), it should be the cheese cake here.

Good location, the name probably comes from the fact that it is situated at a corner where a lot of cows hangout, the ambience is peaceful, food is good quality & portions are good, hence the price is justifiable. We had spaghetti with prawns & a burger , both were filling & well cooked

The food was really nice . I had ordered a chicken steak with mushrooms. The steak was well done with butter and spices .The mushroom was creamy and juicy and not overcooked.The best part was the chunky potatoes fries. The were cooked to a nice crispy brown yet soft inside. With just the right amount of salt.Only downside was their service . Had ordered a beer which was not served even after my meal was done. The server was sitting ona an empty table and chatting in the phine and missed. But it showed up in my bill.Overall I would recommend this place for its food . Good place to have dinner with friends or family
Enjoyed the short visit to Cow Corner. Had the falafel burger which was tasty. The patty could be a little thicker to balance the fluffy bun. The side serve of fried, salad and humus was perfect to accompany the main dish. The ambience is perfect for a cosy date night and the staff is warm and friendly.
Great cheese & spinach breakfast omelette with proper wholemeal seeded toast and fruit bowl with muesli. Delicious! Shame that the espresso was not upto scratch.

I popped into Cow Corner for a quick coffee and was pleasantly surprised, leading me to linger longer. The café’s cheerful vibe, intriguing event board, and books were delightful. The sight of 5 content cats added to its charm. In front of the café, under a large tree, I noticed huge bags of carefully collected trash from the local area, ready for removal, reflecting their commitment to cleanliness. The majestic tree and unique, fluffy-covered bicycles added a special touch. Certainly, a place I’ll revisit!
Very nice, quiet and relaxing atmosphere with comfortable seating in a lush garden. The burger was juicy and so satisfying after many days trying all the local Goan cuisine. Really recommend this spot for a hearty lunch and afternoon chill. Would also be magical in the evening with all the fairy lights they have strung in the trees.

We are here 2 evenings both times excellent food, service and lovely ambiance in the gardens hidden through the gate. The prawn spaghetti was delicious, full of flavour and generous amount of prawns.
Best potato wedges in town, and old monk they have! Cow corner is the corner on a cricket field where ball never lands so that cows can graze there
Very calm place with good music that fits well.The food is really good, especially the chicketln steak with the mushroom sauce but a friend also took the veg spaghetti meatballs which was very good as well so theres good veg options.The pork burger was pretty good but not great. Still waiting to try the pork chops and will update 🙂
Cosy place good was good but not as good as the price would justify. A bit cheaper wouldn’t hurt.Especially when I payed they made me pay for something I didn’t have. I only figured out to late and I needed to leave town so couldn’t go back but that shouldn’t happen. 🙁
This place is simply amazing! I am from Egypt and we were a group of 20 who wanted to eat international cuisine food. The food was really tasty and clean (mushroom chicken steak, king’s fish, shrimp pasta are highly recommended!). The staff were very friendly and the place is not expensive at all. Highly recommended!Make sure you have cash cause sometimes the POS doesn’t work.
A hidden gem on the way to Patnem beach. 💎 Don’t be fooled by the exteriors, the interiors are beautiful and spacious. We tried the chorizo pulao, the goan sausage spaghetti, the hand-cut fries and the schnitzel. Everything was excellent, and the servers were super sweet. Just don’t sit too close to the trees, the wood ants will definitely find you.
Brilliant place. Dont go by the name, because the restaurant opens up to a wide beautiful open area in the back. If you are a remote work person, this is a go to place.Food is wonderful and experimental. Highly recommended.
COW CORNER..A lovingly designed “feel-good oasis” in a wonderful shady garden. Excellent food, “Austrian” food (homemade with LOVE!!) Indian, as well as vegan/vegetarian food. The friendly service from the staff makes a visit special.I will gladly come again!
The Cow Corner is a lovely little place with both Indian and international menu options. The quality of the food is very high and they have clearly labelled vegan options. The bathroom is clean. They also give you filtered water for free when you arrive which is great. The staff are lovely and attentive. The music has always been great, there’s good Wi-Fi and there are pet cats which are very sweet to watch. The only con is that it’s quite expensive compared to the surrounding cafés and restaurants.

Vidushi Cow Corner is a legend in Patnem here, serving food from some time now. We tried Chai (which came in a huge container), one burger (which also was so huge that I couldn’t finish completely). Chai was very well made, earning our praise and burger tasted good.The service was top notch. The waiter who served us kept coming back to us asking us if we were comfortable and to take feedback on the food. He was very attentive and friendly which I liked.
This was my second time visiting here today, I remembered the place because when I came here just around covid, they served the best food, & they didn’t disappoint me today. The food was well made and very delicious, I tried their SEMMELKNODEL WITH MUSHROOM SAUCE which was very creamy and the highlight for today’s dinner, I also had their SPAGHETTI IN GOAN SAUSE, loved that too. To top it all, their CLASSIC BAKED CHEESECAKE was just the icing on the top. Definitely a must visit.

All of those were super fresh.Coconut cookie was literally melted in the mouth 😍We recommend you visit atleast once if you are around.

Highly recommend: Chocolate Mousse Cake and masala chai.As an ardent chai lover, I can confidently say Cow corner serves the BEST MASALA CHAI in the entire South Goa. It’s a small and very cute vibrant cafe amidst a countryside feeling with lush green environment around you. The staff is extremely polite and friendly! It’s a lovely place to take your laptop, read a book or just sit amidst lush greenery with occasional gigs and open mic that happen weekly.
The place is very atmospheric. The staff is very friedly and welcoming – advices on what to see in South Goa included. – The food was the best we had in Goa! You have indian as well as western style dishes. Everything was very fresh and there were plenty vegan options. Even the water tasted very good. Definitely go here if you have a chance 🙂

Just follow the cows down the corner to reach Vidushi’s Cow corner for a soulful experience, and delightful local community in south Goa. Vidushi is an amazing host. the interiors are rustic and tastefully done, the food and beverages are delectable.
Great place with a really nice ambience. It gives you a cozy feeling. The coffee and the classic cheesecake are a must try. Loads of cute cats if you are a cat person
Lovely place for afternoon hang out.Food tastes European x North Indian fusion. Good place if you are needing change from shacks food. Also if you like heavy dairy this is your place🧈I wished it was more in alignment with where it exists. Instead of taking over the space where cows always meditated (as mentioned in one of their brochures) atleast have vegan options for that guilt free meal🤏Staff doesn’t seem to know what they are serving but are smart enough to make you feel served.
Goa is a place where I have seen top notch hospitality in the country. Among those finest cafes, this one stands atop.Food was top notch. We tried a stuffed omelette and croissant sandwich, both were amazing. Big shout out to their staffs, who gave us a ripen cut mango as compliment since they did not have mango shake which we asked for.
Seeing the online review we went there for lunch but over all i think it is over rated.1.Chicken burger was very dry.2.Spaghetti which was made in goan sauce was not up to our mark we didn’t like the taste.3.Talking about the drinks I loved there hot chocolate nd watermelon juice 😋 👌Overall good place to chill.One advice i will like to give is that they should expand there menu .

We have never been to cow corner before but was pleasantly suprise on our first visit for lunch. The atmosphere is quiet and chilled. I had chilli panner as a light bite and wow I haven’t stopped talking about it since. It was absolutely delicious!!! The portion was a good and size and the flavours wow. Will definitely revisit on our travels new year.

Perfect ambience for a break. It’s soothing to just be there. The food menu doesn’t have many Indian or Goan dishes. The quantity and quality of food is amazing. You can enjoy your candle light dinner here.
